New countries for Apple: $ currency should be recorded in U.S. dollars

In regards to the new countries covered by Apple, which we had mentioned in a previous newsletter (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador , Guatemala, Honduras, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, New Zealand, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela), please be advised that the currency for these countries should be recorded in U.S. $ dollars in your Publisher account.

Also be aware that iTunes Connect still has not activated the following four countries: Suriname, Belize, Guyana, Uruguay. As such, they are currently not available for sale via Apple.

You can deploy your titles to new sales territories in 4 easy steps :

  1. Open these countries in the Profile section – Countries of interest.
  2. Document the appropriate currency for each country.
  3. Make a batch send ( Publications / Batch Management / Apple / Activate country for sale) to ensure proper deployment of your ePub files to these territories.
  4. Confirm the success of steps 1 and 3 in your Dashboard.
